 * I’ve just updated to the latest version of Post Thumbnail Editor and I’m having
   some difficulties.
 * Before, the thumbnail page displayed my featured image at full size. Though I
   don’t remember the exact image source, it was the image I had set as featured
   in my post. E.g….
    **mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/thefeaturedimage.jpg**
 * Since the update, the thumbnail page displays the featured image but it’s much
   smaller and the quality is poor. The image source is now:
    **mysite.com/wp-admin/
   admin-ajax.php?action=imgedit-preview&_ajax_nonce=f2dc01bbae&postid=146&rand=
   85536  Example here: [http://postimage.org/image/qbgdd8rb1/](http://postimage.org/image/qbgdd8rb1/)
 * Also, I’m not sure if this is because of the image source issue, but whenever
   I choose the aspect ratio setting, it doesn’t constrain proportions or dimensions
   and so the thumbnails are blurry.
 * I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled and tried it on a new installation of WP to no
   avail.
 * Absolutely ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I loved this plugin before
   and would really like to keep using it.
 * Thanks, Elsie

 * First, worst case scenario, [you can always go back](http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/post-thumbnail-editor.1.0.7.zip).
 * You’ll probably find though that the preview image from all the previous versions
   is exactly the same. This is actually wordpress internal code that I didn’t write.—
   However, I think that this is a good feature (Have an option to change the size
   of the previewed image) that I can implement at some point in the future. Do
   you have any other comments? (Am I missing something? Is there a different/similar
   feature you want?)
 * The image constraints problem is an interesting issue. Constraints do not go
   into effect until you select the thumbnail. Alternately you can click the options
   button and then configure an aspect ratio manually (set this to the value of
   width divided by height). If you select the thumbnail and the constraints aren’t
   being set then I can walk you through a process to find what image sizes are
   being passed into the editor (which I can duplicate and find the problem with).

 * Thanks for your quick response. If the thumbnail editor showed the full size
   image before, then is there something in the update that has affected it? I know
   you’ve said it’s internal code but the plugin worked fine until I updated to
   version 2. It showed the featured image at 100%, now it’s around 60%.
 * No matter what way I try, the constraints aren’t in place and I can create any
   size crop as seen here: [http://postimage.org/image/cla4eetzr/](http://postimage.org/image/cla4eetzr/)
 * I haven’t found another plugin even remotely as good as this one so I’m desperate
   for it to work. I’ll try the old version now.
 * Thank you!!!

 * What I was trying to say, is that the plugin didn’t change the code that displays
   the preview picture. The old image link is identical to the new version (or rather
   it should be).
 * Before you downgrade the plugin, can you get some information for me?
 * When you load PTE the url should resemble this: [http://wordpress-site/wp-admin/upload.php?page=pte-edit&post=103](http://wordpress-site/wp-admin/upload.php?page=pte-edit&post=103)
 * What is the output of this related URL (just change the 103 to whatever your
   id is): [http://wordpress-site/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=pte_ajax&id=103&pte-action=get-thumbnail-info](http://wordpress-site/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=pte_ajax&id=103&pte-action=get-thumbnail-info)
 * **Instructions for downgrading:**
    1. Download 1.0.7 at the link that I posted above.
    2. Delete your wp-content/plugins/post-thumbnail-editor folder.
    3. Upload and unzip (or unzip and upload depending on your web host) the files
       in the same place.
