    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out Tushar. Can you please update the plugin to the version 2.2.1 and try again?

I just released a new update that fixes this bug.

    Many thanks

Can you please double-check the version that you are using is 2.2.1?

I’ve just released the update and sometimes it takes some time before WordPress shows the update available on your plugins list.

Also, please check the plugin settings and make sure you have selected the title and ALT as the tags you want the plugin to update.

    Thanks

I tried to go to wp-admin/upload.php?mode=list and then click on optimize alt and title then the title is getting updated. But this is not happening automatically after I upload any new media.

    Thanks for the info.

Have you checked the plugin settings and make sure you have selected the title option? You can find the settings in “WP Admin > Settings > Image Title & Alt” or going to yourdomain.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=auto-image-title-settings

You will see there the different image fields that the plugin can update: https://ps.w.org/auto-image-title-alt/assets/screenshot-3.jpg?rev=3322580

That’s so strange… I’ve tested it on multiple sites and is working fine in all of them. Can you please try saving the plugin settings and upload and an image then?

I just removed previous plugin. Clear cache. Add the plugin again, clear cache. Save that title and meta options in the setting. Still Title is not working. If you wish I can share you my WordPress login details.

    Thanks in advance.

Issue has been sorted out. The problem was another plugin which was causing conflict doing a similar job.

The website had the plugin “Clean Image Filenames” which does something similar, it cleans images filename and title. After disabling this plugin, image titles are getting updated fine.
