# Image upload http error

 * i am running portfolio press theme. when i upload 6 images using the multi-uploader,
   the first 5 images upload fine but the last one doesn’t and the http error appears.
   i’ve tried some of the solutions that were suggested on the forum and it doesn’t
   seem to work.
    this is not the first time this error has happened i’ve tried 
   uploading 16mb images with 6400×1600 pixels. at that time the first image had
   http error and the rest uploaded fine. i thought it was the pixel size so i resized
   the images so that they were like 500kb and much smaller in pixel sizes and it
   seemed to have solved the issue. however it seems like the error came back. please
   help me i am not making much progress with my website with this error.

 * Those are large images and you may be hitting a server PHP file size limitation.
   When you do the upload can you look at the server’s `error_log` file? It sounds
   to me that you are hitting the [PHP upload_max_filesize limit](http://php.net/manual/en/ini.core.php#ini.upload-max-filesize)
   on your server.
 * If that’s the case then your server’s error log should confirm that and you can
   ask your host to increase that PHP limitation.
