We had hundreds of images accidentally deleted from their media folders which show as blanks in the library and as missing files in the posts they were in. Can Media Cleaner clean those blanks out? I just scanned with the free version, including a “broken entries” scan, and it didn’t seem to find most of them.

    Hey @jamminjames! 👋

The main goal of Media Cleaner is to delete media that isn’t used across your website. If your issue is with media that has already been deleted, unfortunately, there’s nothing Media Cleaner can do about that.

    Hey @jamminjames! 👋

Just a note to make my previous message clearer: Media Cleaner can help you, but only to a certain extent.

If you want to delete library media entries that link to non-existent files, a Media Library scan for broken entries will detect them so you can delete them from the dashboard. However, doing so will not clean your post content that references broken links — Media Cleaner only works with media entries/files directly, not with posts or content.

    Hope this helps!
