Images Gone/Bad Request

Hi, I’m trying to sort out my page speed and downloaded this plugin. It really seems to do the trick and got rid of all the optimisation error messages on GTMetrix. However, they have been replaced with bad request errors instead for most of the images on my site, and when I go into the pages, most of the images seem to be missing. I’ve deactivated it for now and it went back to normal.

Can anyone help with why this might be happening?

Hello there, and thank you for reaching out!

Could you please help me with some information on your setup?

I see that you main website url is http://www.essexmums.com/, but when I request for a particular image I see something like http://www.essexmums.com/productsguide/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2017/04/camera_milestone_1024x1024-750×560.jpg which means that there is an added “/productsguide/” directory there. Could you explain to me how this came to happen? Do you have a multisite running or have installed your WordPress in a subdirectory or, perhaps, you have renamed/moved your /wp-content folder?

(I see the same thing with other images, as well. For instance http://www.essexmums.com/blogandnews/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2017/09/804_135d8osbi6.jpg only here the added subdirectory is “/blogandnews/”.)

Hi, yes, it’s a multisite, is that a problem for the plugin?

Hello, again,

Unfortunately WordPress multisite is a setup that our plugin cannot support at the moment. A lot of the assumptions one has to make become really complicated in this case. We will definitely try to cover this in future versions of the plugin.
