# Implement link timeout

 * In the sidebar I have a link to a server which implements more information on
   my page. Sometimes this server is very slow or just down. In this case my WordPress
   page loads also very slowly or times out.
 * How can I implement this link with a timeout – let’s say after 3 seconds when
   there is no answer from the server then WordPress does not wait any longer for
   it and loads the page without this text.
 * How to do?
