 * Hello!
    In the Import Setting section, if you edit the “Unique Identifier” field,
   then the import does not change the previously loaded items. A warning appears:“
   Warning: Are you sure you want to edit the Unique Identifier? Close It is recommended
   you delete all Stores associated with this import before editing the unique identifier.
 * Editing the unique identifier will dissociate all existing Stores linked to this
   import. Future runs of the import will result in duplicates, as WP All Import
   will no longer be able to update these Stores.
 * You really should just re-create your import, and pick the right unique identifier
   to start with. ”
 * Can you please tell me how to make the import take into account any items, even
   those loaded by the previous import?
 * Thank you.

 * Hi [@kosmostarfild](https://wordpress.org/support/users/kosmostarfild/),

 * Unfortunately, it’s not possible for a “New Items” import to recognize items
   that were created manually or by other imports (regardless of the Unique Identifier).
 * If you’re importing a file that contains items you’ve already imported, you should
   just update the original import with the new file: [http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/update-import](http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/update-import).
 * It also might be possible to use an “Existing Items” import to do what you’re
   wanting: [http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/manual-record-matching/](http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/manual-record-matching/).
 * I would suggest reading this to learn about the import types and their strengths/
   limitations: [https://gist.github.com/trey8611/607f09db8c470d2170cb358223de9384](https://gist.github.com/trey8611/607f09db8c470d2170cb358223de9384).
