# Import nested categories

 * Good evening. Help me please. I have a list of categories in Excel format [http://dl3.joxi.net/drive/2019/02/17/0033/2806/2218742/42/4080f14611.jpg](http://dl3.joxi.net/drive/2019/02/17/0033/2806/2218742/42/4080f14611.jpg)
 * In the table, each last filled cell is the final page. The previous cell is the
   parent category. The exception – the very first column – Address.
 * How can I set up a plugin or prepare an excel file to correctly import all categories
   with nesting?

 * Are you importing them in a “Taxonomies” import (see: [https://d.pr/i/hteJyV](https://d.pr/i/hteJyV))?
   If so, then you really just need to have a column for “Category Name” and “Parent”,
   e.g.: [https://d.pr/i/mW5hmq](https://d.pr/i/mW5hmq) and [https://d.pr/i/s9SmnI](https://d.pr/i/s9SmnI).
 * If it’s not possible to change the file, then you could always use the instructions
   at [http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/taxonomies/nested/](http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/taxonomies/nested/)
