I currently don’t have a system to import/upgrade old Ditty News Tickers into the the Ditty system. I will still most likely put something together to make this happen, but it may be awhile. Currently, you’ll have to manually create new Ditty to replicate your News Tickers.
The old News Tickers are fully functional for those who currently still prefer to use them. If you get to a point of not using the News Tickers, you can disable those admin page on the Ditty > Settings > Advanced screen.
Quick update on this. I’m not sure if I’ll be creating a migration tool from old DNT to the new system. The complexity of this project due to the differences between the 2 version would make it very time consuming and I have many other tasks that will continue to take priority over this.
The Legacy News Ticker will remain available so you don’t need to worry about losing anything. If you do decide to manually migrate tickers to the new system, hopefully it’s not too much work.
