# Important Functionality Doesn’t Work

   to solve the problem long term. Thanks!

 * Give Accountant role has no functionality. The Donor and Donation pages create
   a “fatal error” on the site. Those are the exact pages the Accountant Role requires
   to do anything. I have spent hours and hours trying to make this work.

 * I really appreciate you reaching out here. I was aware of the issue you’re referencing
   [which you can see here](https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/givewp-accountant-role-does-not-have-the-access-it-should)
   but honestly I thought that it had a simple workaround, explaining why it sat
   there since May with no action. I’ve looked more deeply into it today, and it’s
   actually not as simple as I thought, but there is a workaround.
 * You’ll see a comment there now from me including a video that lines out step-
   by-step how to temporarily resolve the issue while our team looks into it.
 * Note also that I think we’ve conflated two issues, one producing a fatal error
   and one that is as described in the linked feedback above. That’s our mistake
   for sure. Accountant roles not having access to a page or functionality should
   not result in fatal errors, and we’ll fix that as soon as we are able to replicate
   the problem.
 * I’m still looking into the fatal error issue and working with you in the ticket
   you opened.
 * Your success with online donations is our number one priority, and I want to 
   make sure that we get you back to full speed very soon.
