• Howdy, I have a clients wordpress.com site that has around 100 posts. The client wants to use those posts on their new .org website. I have exported said posts from .com and imported into the new site to test. That has all worked well!

My only issue is that I’d like to be able to design a post page template that all 100 of those posts conform to on import. Is that possible? I’d massively like to NOT have to type all their posts out again!

I’m using Elementor with the Astra theme.

    Many thanks.

I don’t think it’s a template issue, more likely incompatible CSS. Isn’t the same theme used at .com available for .org sites? I’m not that knowledgeable of .com sites, I don’t know if Elementor is used there.

Imported post data should all be in place; and content, title, etc. all appear on the front end as valid HTML. It may not look right due to differing CSS, but the content should be there so there’s no need to retype anything. It may not be compatible with Elementor, but it should at least appear on the front end as valid HTML.

If you need the imported data to be compatible with Elementor and are having trouble with that aspect, I suggest asking for assistance in Elementor’s dedicated support forum.
