# Import/Export Issues from WordPress.com to WordPress.org

 * I’m trying to move a blog from WordPress.com to a standalone WP blog. I’ve exported
   the posts and attachments without any problem, but when I try to import them 
   into the new blog and the import file attachments, mapped to a user who already
   exists, the process stops after only one or two posts and then sends me to the
   blog’s 404 error page. Every time I run it I get one more post, so I know they’re
   in there.

 * Any idea what the problem might be?

 * Still having this exact same problem – only importing a handful of posts at a
   time. Any idea what’s going on? I’m running the most recent version of WP, 2.9.2.
