# Import/Export Question

 * Hey guys,
 * Sorry if this is confusing. Bear with me.
 * I have two sites I’m working with right now:
    [http://theinfluenceofteachers.wordpress.com/](http://theinfluenceofteachers.wordpress.com/)
 * AND
 * [http://theinfluenceofteachers.com/](http://theinfluenceofteachers.com/)
 * Nothing is on the second site. I just own the name.
 * I’m trying to EXPORT all the content from the WordPress onto the non-WordPress
   URL.
 * When I just tried to IMPORT the XML file, I got this message:
 * Unable to create directory /home/theinflu/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2011/
   04. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
 * I don’t know what to do now. It doesn’t seem like I have any options to click
   on anything or resolve it.
 * Anyone have any ideas? I need to do this for work and it’s crushing me.
