# Importing missing orders after server migration

 * We recently migrated servers and a few orders were placed on the “old” server
   before the DNS got updated. My question is, what is the best method for getting
   those on the “new” server? Should I go to to the old server, export those orders
   and then import them? Add them manually? Will this trigger duplicate orders?
   We use Printful to fulfill orders so I don’t want to trigger a duplicate and
   have the customer charged again.

 * Hello [@hmschiefer](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hmschiefer/) do you have
   the ability to wipe the database on the new server and then import a copy from
   the old server? If so, that’s the fastest and best way to go about this.

 * We would be missing a couple hundred orders that have come in since then.

 * [@hmschiefer](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hmschiefer/) let me ask you
   again, do you have the ability yourself to wipe the database and import it again?

 * Then that’s what I would do. Export the sql from the old server. Drop the sql
   in the new import. Then reimport the sql again and rewrite the urls if you have
   to, not sure if you would. Just saying. Should only take 5 mins at the most.

 * Am I missing something or wouldn’t this not include any of the 200+ orders we’ve
   received since the migration?

 * Hey there, [@hmschiefer](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hmschiefer/)! Thanks
   for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.
 * How many orders are missing?
 * You mentioned Printiful. Were all the missing orders Printiful products?
 * Looking forward to your reply.
 * Have a wonderful day!

 * Sorry for misunderstanding [@hmschiefer](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hmschiefer/)
   I was under the impression that you had just done this and that the site wasn’t
   live yet.
 * If that’s the case then you will need an app like [https://wordpress.org/plugins/order-import-export-for-woocommerce/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/order-import-export-for-woocommerce/)
 * Hopefully you have the old server instance accessible with an IP or two domain
   name

 * [@carolm29](https://wordpress.org/support/users/carolm29/) Thanks for your help.
   I think it’s about 14 orders. Yes, they are all Printful. They went through Printful
   because the old server was still live, but they are just missing from the WooCommerce
   orders on the new server. I don’t want to duplicate Printful orders or charges
   to customers obviously.

 * Hey, [@hmschiefer](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hmschiefer/)!
 * Since there are not a lot of orders, if they were regular WooCommerce orders/
   products, I would suggest adding them manually to avoid any issues, since you
   would have control over how it was set up.
 * However, since they were done through Printiful, I recommend checking with them
   how their support thinks it is best to do this to make sure nothing gets duplicated.
   🙂
 * Please reach out to them and let us know if there’s anything else we can do to
   help.
