# Importing Problem

 * I have two seperate WP blogs and I’m trying to combine them by exporting the 
   content from one (using WPexport) and then importing it to the other.
 * But it’s not working and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
 * I click on the “export” tab in the admin section of the blog I want to export
   and it shows me all of my posts and comments in MoveableType. Now, maybe this
   is where I’m getting things messed up, but I copy and paste that into a text 
   file and name it import.txt and then upload that file to the wp-admin directory
   of the blog I want to import it to.
 * Then I go to import-mt.php and follow the instructions and it loads everything…
   but it loads all of the comments and posts into comments for the very first post
   I ever made on my blog. I don’t understand why. I figured that when it imported
   the posts they’d all be individual posts with their comments and I’d just have
   to assign them to a category to have them show up on my blog… but they’re all
   in the comments of one post.
 * It’s very confusing.
 * Any idea what I did wrong? (I’m using WP 1.5 and I did edit the import-mt.php
   file and reupload it before trying to import anything.

 * Ummmm. I’m really confused…. if you have 2 wp blogs, what does mt have to do 
   with it?
 * And…. munging 2 wp blogs even using the plugin from technosailor is probably 
   not going to work due to conflicting post IDs and so on….
