# Importing WordPress

 * I am making the switch from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and every time I try
   to import my content I get a time out error. Is there something in particular
   I should be doing to get the content imported?

    Did
   you install WordPress Importer plugin and importing with it?

 * Try braking the export up into smaller files. I often have to do it by month 
   depending on how many posts there are.

 * Thank you for the ideas! I ended up attempting the import process about five 
   times before it worked successfully.

   are the same as when they were on wordpress.com?
