 * I recently used this plug-in to import my site from Blogger. For posts written
   January 2017 and after, everything looks fine. But for posts written before 2017,
   there are constant errors in the text wrapping, with improper line breaks being
   inserted. Here’s the HTML code of a sample paragraph:
 * <p>This wide-ranging approach is nothing new to Lonergan, whose prior feature,
   the magnificently messy <i>Margaret</i>,<br />
    was made in 2005—it spent years
   in editing purgatory, finally dropped<br /> to middling reviews in 2011, and
   has since acquired cult status. <i>Margaret</i> was furiously compelling cinema
   with moments of utter brilliance, but it also felt haphazard; <i>Manchester by
   the Sea</i><br /> is similarly expansive, but it never feels scattered. Whether
   it’s<br /> following Lee and Patrick’s squabbles about whether to sell or salvage
   <br /> Joe’s boat or dropping in on Patrick’s band practice, the movie remains
   a<br /> cohesive portrait of two people struggling to comprehend their own loss
   <br /> and learning how to move on.</p>
 * As you can see, <br /> tags have been inserted at the end of each *line* of text,
   even though those tags dig not appear in the original post in Blogger. The result
   looks as though I have randomly inserted various soft returns in the middle of
   the paragraph. This appears to have happened for *every* post written before
   2017.
 * Is there any way that I can automatically correct this formatting error? Currently,
   I’m forced to manually edit every single post and replace the improper line breaks
   in every paragraph, which is very time-consuming and error-prone.
 * Thanks very much.
 * – Jeremy
 * P.S. I would provide a link to my site, but I currently have the Under Construction
   plug-in enabled because I want to correct the formatting errors before making
   the site available to the public.

 * Hi Jeremy, apologies for the delay in replying.
 * The extra line breaks are usually created when copying text from software such
   as MS Word. Did that particular post use some text from a MS word file?
 * Unfortunately it is not possible to rectify the issue in WordPress. The problem
   stems from Blogger not stripping out the extra line breaks from MS Word. Sadly
   there will be nothing you can do but remove them manually.
