Improvement suggestion / base price sync
-
Hi, first of all thank you for this great plugin. There is some room for improvement, and I will leave this suggestion here.
On a site with many, many variations, we started with a base product price of let’s say 10 (currency doesn’t matter)
All variations were calculated based on the markup added by this plugin, to one of the attributes.
Now, yesterday, we decided to change variation prices, went to each variation and added the corresponding price. The markups themselves didn’t change. But now, today, we see in the product list, in the price column, the proper prices, like “12…34”, but in the “Base price” field, output by your plugin, we still see the 10, which is yesterday’s price.
Now we need to go through each product again, go to variations, and choose bulk operations, set base price, or sale price, in order to have your column show the right price.
And this influences the calculation of prices on the frontend, too, even though we set new prices for the variations, the fronted prices are still calculated based on the previous base price, stored somewhere.. you know better where in the database.
I hope this helps, and you can make an improvement on this otherwise great module.
