In-editor image/text alignment

Dear community,

Im helping out a friend with his WordPress website. The idea is that I need an image within a line of text. This of course is no issue, but Im having trouble with aligning the image. I want the image to be alignment with the line-height of the text.
Normal CSS didnt do me much good, as WordPress aligns the image to the baseline of the text, and I want it to drop slighlty below that.

So the idea is that the image needs to drop “through” the baseline of the text to align the image properly. There is no concern for changes in the margins below the line of text.

Couldn’t quite figure it out with custom CSS, so I’m probably competing with some of WordPress’s CSS’s.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.
