# Include Author Description Field

 * Hello, I am attempting to display the contents of the author description field
   inside the loop. I have tried:
    _ <?php if(get\_query\_var(‘author\_name’)) :
   $curauth = get\_userdatabylogin(get\_query\_var(‘author\_name’)); else : $curauth
   = get\_userdata(get\_query\_var(‘author’)); endif;
 *  echo “$curauth->description”;
    ?>
 * As well as:
    _ <?php the\_author\_description(); ?>_
 * I had it working a while back and now for some reason, it is not. Your help in
   this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
