# Inconsistent EOT Behavior

 * My client reports some new memberships do not auto-generate an EOT, yet others
   do:
    - If the person signs up through Paypal with an “instant” payment, they are 
      listed as recurring, and have an EOT date (see Johnson, Gill & Lagodich).
    - If they sign up through Paypal “website payments pro”, neither of those things
      happens (see Clough, Rienke).
    - Their primary concern is who gets notifications of renewal and who does not.
      We transitioned to Payments Pro with auto-renewal in the past 12 months. My
      understanding is S2Member doesn’t send notifications of renewal in either 
      situation.
