 * Hello,
 * I own: [http://www.lifewithgremlins.com](http://www.lifewithgremlins.com)
 * I’m using your plugin to alter the ad and layout scheme for mobile, and it is
   awesome, but it seems to perform inconsistently. I don’t know if it’s just Googlepage
   speed rendering of the page or the mobile tester I’m using, but sometimes pages
   load on mobile as they should (with dynamic widget hiding certain widgets and
   making others appear) and sometimes it does not.

 * after poking around on the forum here it seemed “try the old way” was a common
   recommendation, so I tried that. It seems more consistent, but still doesn’t
   always work.

 * Update: I managed to get a few people with smart phones to look, and it is indeed
   not just a mobile tester error, the inconsistency does occur on actual mobile
   devices. 🙂

 * Mobile detection is based on what the WordPress core is supplying to DW. It’s
   not 100% safe and will never be. Best methods for responsive design is using
   the CSS media queries.

 * same issue here. Android works well but when I hide things they show up in iphones.
   Like you said its not 100 percent safe, but how do you use the css media queries
   to hide things on iphones or safari?

 * I’m sorry, I can’t be a big help in that. I’m not a CSS specialist.
