 * Sorry if this is the wrong forum… I filed a bug report about a week ago and never
   got a reply.
 * A plugin I have in the extend directory is doing something wierd. Ive recently
   updated it from 0.8 to 0.8.1
 * [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/facebook-dashboard-widget/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/facebook-dashboard-widget/)
 * – The FYI code on the right isn’t whats on the readme file – it almost seems
   to have combined the readme text from the 0.8 version AND the 0.8.1 version.
   –
   The version history doesn’t show a 0.8.1 version – but when you click download,
   it serves you the 0.8.1 version anyway. – The 0.8.1 version isn’t being served
   out via the automatic plugin updates – probably because the system still think
   its at version 0.8
 * Can anyone give me a clue why this is happening? If its a mistake Ive made (this
   is my first plugin release so its possible!) then let me know and I’ll fix it!
 * Regards
    Chris

 * hey chris
 * Have in mind that when u make a new release, update the version number in the
   main php file as well, so in your case go to facebook-dashboard-widget\fdw.php
   and change **Version: 0.8** to **Version: 0.8.1**
 * That will solve your problem.
 * You may also run your txt file in [validator](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/about/validator/).

 * I’m having the same problem with [http://www.wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easysms](http://www.wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easysms)
 * It still says 0.1 and I’ve changed my version numbers since. I added the latest
   stable tag in the readme to both my tag directory and trunk directory. Thanks
   for your help!

 * Fixed it. I wasn’t changing it on the actual plugin file.
