    I like this theme. It may be better for my use if the opacity of the overlays was a bit less transparent. How do I increase the opacity of overlays?

    About “overlays”, did you mean “sliderbar”?

    ifso ,please try to change it like below

    theme Customize–Waffle Sidebar Background Color–Opacity

    to change the opacity

    and,to change the Colors of sliderbar

    Colors–Header and Sidebar Background Color

    I will try it! But I had to change themes because of an unresolved issue I had:https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/static-front-pg-displays-as-post-with-excerpt-only.
    – I had it set for a static front page. What I got was an excerpt of/from my front page. “Continue reading” link went back to the same excerpt front page.

    I don’t have the skill to try the one suggestion I had not tried.

    Thank you for your help. I would very much would like to try “waffle” again. I may try this weekend, or maybe on a different site in my MultiSite perhaps? I will give you a progress report.
