 * Hi,
I hope this is not too stupid a question, but I am known for my stupidity
anyway, so here goes… With all of this talk of different templates and borked
designs of late, I have been thinking I would like to try some of these ‘improved’
packages/interfaces/designs/schemes or whatever they should be called. The question
is though, is this possible without replacing your current setup? I am happy
with my current design and have no wish to replace it with another index.php.
So, is it possible to implement a second index file using index1.php and index2.
php etc in order to offer these new designs? Faling that, do I have to set up
a whole new blog to do this, which seems pointless as it will not have any of
my current content within? I hope some of this has made sense. After reading
it through again – I am totally confused myself now, but who knows, someone may
get the idea. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

 * You can create as many different index.php type files as you like. However, with
permalinks they’ll always point and use the file named index.php. You can change
this behaviour if you really want by using some funky code or .htaccess mod_rewrite
rules, but its most commonly done for things like the archives and the category
lists. Check out the wiki for things like narchive.php for examples.
    Alternatively,
check out Alex King’s Style switcher. With the original index.php you can change
and achieve a lot of variation in the look and feel just by changing the CSS
   itself.
