    Good Morning,

    so if I understand correctly, the pre-order dates can be changed during the pre-order period. Who pre-ordered the product sees it in the cart and can’t pay for it until it’s available, right? For example, if I have pre-ordered 20 units, but in reality the supply of the product is carried out in 2 or 3 times. How is this option handled? What if missing pieces are delivered to me?

    Can you explain a little more about what you’re asking?

    Does this mean you ship out pieces of the product?

    It sounds like something to do with more a back-office function.

    If you will have only 3 in stock, you should set the stock to 3. This means it can only be ordered three times, not 20.

    If you are trying to sell more products than you know you will have or what you know is coming in. This would not be recommended.

    The purpose of the pre-order is to sell a product in which you know what the inventory will be promised to you by your supply chain by a specific date.

    It would be best not to sell anything you know you cannot promise. This would be asking for trouble if the product does not come in and you cannot fulfill the customer’s order.
