# Initial low connection

 * Hiya all!
 * I’ve got an issue about initial web connection. When you enter a web page address,
   in an address bar, it getting about 10 seconds in display the page, not loading,
   I mean starting to display.
    “Waiting” in a status bar. I had in mind it could
   be a problem while connecting to a database or something similar, or, a hosting
   problem. Just before wordpress, i hat a coming soon bootstrap page, displayed
   like a rampage.
 * So the unique cause I’m guessing is something about the engine, or around. The
   site is new and nothing done yet (content).
 * What it could be?

 * But all that DURING the loading, but I mean while connecting to a wordpress site.
   
   So that’s 16 sec, is the problem to connect to a site.

 * Oh.
    This means that your web server is very slow. Or the connection between 
   the web server and the database server is very slow. If you’re on shared hosting,
   then perhaps there are way too many websites on the same server. Or perhaps you’ve
   activated too many heavy plugins? What plugins do you use? Or your theme is very
   heavy? Which theme do you use? Or your server is on a slow connection.
 * By the way: which php-version does your server use? php 7.0/7.1 are much quicker
   than php 5.2. (But still, would’t usually be THAT slow.)
