Initial photos & Load more

    Dear Photonic team,

    Great plugin, exactly what I was looking for!

    I would like to give a brief overview of a number of albums to visitors and the option to load more photos of the album they’d like to view.

    The problem is the number of photos shown initially is the same as the ‘load more’. Wouldn’t it be more logical to make these numbers separate? Now I have to choose between lots of photos initially when I want to load a lot on click or only a couple of photos initially and on each click, meaning over 9000 extra clicks.

    1. Is there a way to separate this manually?
    2. Are you planning on adding the option in the shortcodes if not present yet?
    2. Where can I find the relevant code of your plugin to edit it while waiting for an update?

    Hi,
    This is on my radar but as a low priority feature request.

    The reasoning is that the coding effort for this is non-trivial and the demand and benefit are not that high. As an illustration of complexity, this sort of functionality will have to be built for all providers (Flickr, SmugMug, Google, Instagram, Zenfolio), which is time-consuming as it fundamentally changes how the count parameter has to be handled. To add to the complexity this will require changes to the gallery builder UI as well.

    Since this is not a simple change that can be made by tweaking a couple of lines of code, I am not sure if it can be provided as a fix via this forum.
