# “Insert shortcode” does not function in Classic Editor

 * I am using localhost to create a WordPress website and am using the Kadence theme.
   The text editor shows the “Insert shortcode” button; however, on selection nothing
   happens. My understanding is the listing of available shortcodes from the Shortcodes
   Ultimate should show up. Could this be a theme incompatibility?

 * I am also having a similar problem, the Insert Shortcode doesn’t even show up
   in the classic paragraph editor block. It works fine in the classic block, the
   shortcode block and the new paragraph block. We have some very long articles 
   which we want to quickly update and don’t want to take the time right now to 
   convert to blocks. How do we use Shortcodes ultimate?
