# Insert/Edit Image non-functional

 * Trying to insert an image into a post with admin/write.
 * First, uploaded the image. That went okay.
 * No, wait… first, I typed a bunch of deathless prose. Didn’t save it, of course.
   THEN uploaded the image.
 * Next, having never tried it before, I clicked the insert/edit image button. It
   brought up a popup window with less than I wanted (i.e. no browse to the file,
   just a place to enter it… effing useless: I coulda typed the damn file path/name
   into a tag) so I canceled it.
 * Ooops, no, I didn’t. It wouldn’t cancel. In fact it didn’t do diddle-e-squat.
   Nothing I could think of would make it go away. The “X” button didn’t, the “cancel”
   button didn’t, nothing worked at all.
 * I finally got rid of it by refreshing the browser, but that threw away all of
   my deathless prose.
 * Thought it might be FF, but no… same thing with IE and Opera.
 * Searched here a while, and it appears this is a common problem, but I haven’t
   found any fixes or workarounds.
 * What’s going on with this fine little piece of javascript code? Does it need 
   some undoc’ed (or hide-a-doc) setup? Is there a replacement? What it is?

 * Interesting – someone can take the time to change the title of the thread (or
   is it automagic?) but not to say anything at all about it, not even “I l/c’ed
   your title because we don’t shout” (even though the sticky immediately before
   the latest message is BEFORE YOU POST…} – form without substance.
