# Inserting Variable

 * I have created this snippet:
 * a href=”[https://www.500yojanas.org/lotus-sutra/day-](https://www.500yojanas.org/lotus-sutra/day-){
   ThisDay}” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Day {ThisDay} Full Text
 * The Variable is set as ThisDay in the form.
 * When I insert this snippet I’m asked the variable but when the page is displayed
   the {ThisDay} does not display. Instead of Day 12 Full Text, I get Day Full Text
   and the URL is /day- and not /day-12.
 * What am I missing?

 * IF you did not manage to fix this yet, please provide screenshots of the snippet
   and the content. I don’t have enough information to help.

 * This is NOT resolved. I am unable to pass a variable to a post snippet.
 * Screengrabs of the snippet, how it looks embedded and the output — [https://www.500yojanas.org/images/postsnippet-variable-example-fail.jpg](https://www.500yojanas.org/images/postsnippet-variable-example-fail.jpg)
 * You could also point me to the documentation to offers examples of snippets with
   variables.
 * Thank you.

 * Hi Jomari
 * you ca’t use capitals, so instead of thisDay, use this day or day. I’ll research
   if this can be made possible in a future version.
 * You’ll find some documentation in the help section:

 * Kind regards

 * Thanks for the quick reply. Changing variable name thisDay to day solved my issue.
   PostSnippet with variable works now.
