Instagram app browser caching
-
I’m encountering a strange problem with an eCommerce site.
When the client adds a new product to their store, they can see it in their browser as expected. But they’ve been getting complaints from customers saying they can’t see the new product on the shop page. The product is published, catalog visibility set correctly, it’s not private, etc.
We’ve narrowed it down somewhat, as the client says that issue occurs when she clicks the link in her Instagram bio…which opens the shop page in Instagram’s browser. So clearing the normal browser cache on a phone must not be doing anything to that (not that it’s a solution, visitors shouldn’t have to clear their browser cache just to ensure they’re seeing all the latest products!)
I have excluded the Shop page from server-side caching to no avail, and I did have settings for leveraging browser caching in .htaccess, but removing them didn’t help.
Any suggestions on how to stop this happening would be much appreciated!
