# install PHP on a mac

 * I am new to wordpress. I run into some problem when I tried to install wordpress
   on a mac.
 * I download the PHP software from a website, however, when I almost finished the
   installation, an error comes up saying that it cannot complete the installation.
 * I am running a mac os x 10.4.4. and it is an Imac.
 * Any help would be apprecaited.
