    Hello Sir/Mam,

    This is Nadira,i need your help to install wordpress.
    when i run install file on browser,it always return 404 error and return to the hosting main page.i done all the configuration on wp-config file but it not work.

    i am using filezilla for uploading the file and free web hosting site ie 000webhost.com.

    please suggest me ,what i do now.

    Where did you upload WordPress to on your domain?
    What url are you using to try and run the install?

    yah,i m uploading on my free hosting web domain.
    i pass the url http://nadiraweb.freeiz.com/wp-admin/install.php

    I cannot find any sign of WordPress in that domain. Where did you upload WordPress to on your domain?

    Where did you upload WordPress to on your domain? Into what folder?

    its in root folder,i dont make any other folder to upload wordpress.

    i want to describe what i exactly doing.i am new in this,so i dont get what you ask.these things i do to install wordpress
    1- i create domain name from 000webhost.com as free hosting.
    2- then i create mysql database there.
    3- i download wordpress3.6 file from ww.wp.xz.cn.
    4- change its wp-config-sample.php file as wp-config.php
    5- in wp-config file i insert my created database name,user name,host name
    6-upload this wordpress folder and files on filezilla ftp client
    7-after uploading i write url on browser ie mydomainname/wp-admin/install.php

    but i always get 404 error……… 🙁

    I cannot locate any WordPress files in the root of your domain. I think you need to check exactly where you uploaded it to. Perhaps you uploaded it outside of the web root folder?

    but i uploaded it in root folder….ok dear,can you tell where it should be upload ? i have writen my step by step process,thats i m doning.

    You would need to ask your hosts about that.

    Hi Nadira,

    If you are having issues installing WordPress via FTP and since you cannot confirm where the files are being uploaded to I would suggest trying to install WordPress via your host.

    I checked and your 000WebHost says it offers 1-click auto-installs via Fantastico and WordPress is listed:
    http://www.000webhost.com/fantastico
