 * My database has been created, and I am trying to install WordPress, but am receive
   this error and cannot continue.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in C:\xampp\htdocs\wp_demo\wp-includes\
   user.php on line 1021
 * This error is occurring in wp-admin/install.php
 * Thank you.

 * Try re-uploading all files & folders from a **fresh** download of WordPress. 
   Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the
   new ones.

 * I’m working locally, but that totally did the trick. I just did a fresh install.
   Thank you! I’m very, very new to WordPress, so I’m sure I will be back here often!
