Installation issue

    Mark,

    I accidentally installed the 4.0 version before deactivating and following the steps you had listed before. We don’t have that much information so transferring is not an issue. I was able to delete the team rosters plugin from our hosting site so I was able to log in again. After installing the new version I still get this error. I thought I went in and deleted the single player.php that I had moved last year, but maybe I missed another one.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/lightn22/public_html/wp-content/plugins/team-rosters/includes/mstw-tr-team-roster-admin-class.php on line 729

    Thanks for posting here. Yes, this issue has reared it’s head before. What version of PHP are you running? See https://ww.wp.xz.cn/about/requirements/

    Looks like we were a little behind in our PHP version. Updated and all seems to be working great. Thanks!

    Just like @blplyer, I did not deactivate before installing. Currently, I am able to access my website (www.alexandriaaces.org), but I am not able to access the dashboard or edit any pages. I keep receiving a white page and an error. The error is: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /homepages/23/d306604758/htdocs/aces/wp-content/plugins/team-rosters/includes/mstw-tr-team-roster-admin-class.php on line 729

    I am not an advanced WP user and I have no idea how to delete the team rosters plugin from our hosting site or how to tell which version of PHP.

    Please read the whole thread and the WordPress link I provided. You are running an old version of PHP.
