After installing W.Press in my computer when i unzipped the files the php files list showed dreamweaver logos as i have D.weaver installed in my computer. when I click on those php files —the D.weaver opens. What can i do about this?? as I need the dreamweaver as well. —————– As per intructions on the WPress website— i have renamed the file to – wpconfig.php in my computer. My SQL database (host 1&1) has created 4 database instead of one — dunno why?? I have downloaded a text editor to edit config.php (yet to do). I use Filezilla FTP , should i upload all the W.Press php files individually? I have heard so much positive about WordPress I hope i will be able to make a website using it. It is easier said than done. Please help!! I rabidly hate Dreamweaver but you can use it to edit them if you want. It is your choice. I don’t know. Anyway, you only need one. Just pick one and use it. * You can probably upload WordPress all at once. Yes i want to say good bye to dreamweaver now (hopefully). In my database page (1&1 host) there is this button “My php admin” …do i need to use this button as the instruction says using “MySQL database” OR “Myphp admin” for creating password? That is a web based GUI to your MySQL databases. You already have 4 databases per your first post. I don’t know if you user/passwords for those databases but you probably do. Today I opened wp-config.php with a text editor and put in the needful information and then saved it. All the W. Press files were uploaded to my host (1&1)in a file(lets say “TONY”). At present i havn’t purchased a domain name for this website i plan to make so i havnt pointed a domain name to “TONY” in my hosting area(1&1). So now i am in a fix how to Run and Install script? Now as per instructions :– “”Step 5: Run the Install Script * Point a web browser to start the installation script. ■ If you placed the WordPress files in the root directory, you should visit: [http://example.com/wp-admin/install.php](http://example.com/wp-admin/install.php) ■ If you placed the WordPress files in a subdirectory called blog, for example, you should visit: [http://example.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php](http://example.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php) * Setup configuration file * If WordPress can’t find the wp-config.php file, it will tell you and offer to try to create and edit the file itself. You can usually get into a hosted account via an IP address, assigned by your host.
