Hello guys, I tried this on both Opera and FireFox and when I click installer, a download starts as installer.php. When I open the file it’s just text.

I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.

Using Hostgator and latest version of WordPress.

Hey @jsrnn,

So when you browse to the installer.php via browser as such:

https://mysite.com/installer.php

Are you seeing just plain text?

Cory,
I have the same issue. Yes, when I navigate to my site’s address/installer.php, the file automatically downloads instead of running the installation wizard.

Was this resolved. I am getting the same issue for the first time ever. The installer.php file downloads when I load my site address/installer.php

No. I ended up using a different plugin and had no problem.
