# Installing a theme

 * I am trying to install a new theme and I keep getting the error message Failed
   to connect to FTP Server word press codex:21. I have entered my user name for
   blog and Word Press forum but nothing seems to be working. How can I install 
   a new theme?

 * Dashboard > Appearance > Install Themes where you can search for theme in WP 
   repo, or Upload a theme zip file and install

   Btw, FTP username and password is not same as WP.org username and password.

 * I have tried both but can not get past the user name and password. Where do I
   get the pass word in order to move forword?

 * Username and password for your WordPress installation or for your FTP? The first
   one, you should have gotten when you installed. The second one, if you’re hosted
   with webhosting service should be shown hosting panel/cpanel.
