# Installing Multisite without the WP installation

 * Hello,
 * I want to have two sub-domains using one dashboard. I’m trying to create a Network
   but can’t find the wp-config.php file to edit. I didn’t install WordPress on 
   my computer and was wondering if there was a way to set up a Network without 
   using this file, as I don’t currently know where it resides. Can I install wordpress
   again on my computer, and then edit the files and re-upload them to my site?

 * WordPress isn’t installed on your computer, all you need on your computer is 
   a browser, and an FTP or SFTP client for advanced file tinkering.
 * Everything is installed on your server, and that’s where you’ll find the wp-config.
   php file to edit.
 * With that said though, a Multisite network doesn’t give you two subdomains with
   one Dashboard, it gives you two sites with two Dashboards from one WordPress 
   installation.
 * Why do you need two separate subdomains to use the same Dashboard?
