 * I will try to give as much information as possible here to hopefully help make
   sense
 * I am enrolled in a class at a community college for learning wordpress. I have
a textbook WordPress 24-Hour Trainer book for it w/ an instructional disc
 * web host is hostgator
 * In week two we are tasked with registering a subdomain to the school’s domain
of gatorclass.com. I was to sign up using myname.gatorclass.com
    -when signing
up i followed the instructions saying that I already own this domain as my school
owns it not me -24h later on thursday i got confirmation email that my account
was setup to domain wleiningergator.class.com versus what i though i chose as
wleininger.gatorclass.com =this resulted in when i installed my first wp installation
it told me it was unfindable and to go to class.com
 * i proceeded to work with tech support last night to identify i need to change
my subdomain to wleininger.gatorclass.com versus wleiningergator.class.com
    *
I chose williamleininger1.gatorclass.com -proceeded to do this -supposed to be
instantaneous change so i could immediately move to a wp installation –instructed
to install wordpress again =now it’s still not findable =now when i go to gatorclass.
com it shows the directories of folders. I find mine still as wleiningergator/
 * I simply don’t know what would be causing me being unable to navigate to the
page and haven’t been able to get it resolved so far, so I’m asking for advice
from the community while i continue to work with tech support.

 * Here’re some things you can check:
    - Does the DNS are refreshed – Just try to open the desired domain in Google
Translate and check if you see something else.
    - Does the vhosts on the server are configured with the correct paths. I suppose
you should check this with the tech guy.
 * When the problems with the domain are resolved you can consult with [Moving WordPress](http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress)
   wiki on The Codex.
