 * For the first time I tried to install wordpress via wordpress.zip to one of my
   subdomain. All is fine. the files are extracted a folder name wordpress. Then
   it asked me to write config.php.
 * I went through wordpress editor. but after entering all fields it is not creating
   the config.php. It shows database error.
 * host is local host.
 * What is the wrong I did?
 * Thanks
    Satya

 * Hi,
 * You can simply open wp-config.php using a text editor, edit it, save it and upload
   it.
 * In the zip typically there is wp-config-sample.php. Just rename that one.

 * you could also attempt to change the permissions on the WordPress folder so that
   the config is able to write itself. Although Johnb81 is correct that you can
   create the config by editing the sample config, it is better to let WordPress
   do its thing and write it for you.

 * i do think Johnb81 provide u with the best method. playing with permission is
   not really good idea since u need to know the right permission for folder and
   file. too high permission will lead to security issue.
 * Plus, by looking and editing wp-config directly will give u idea what is actually
   you input wrong in the config file. check host=localhost
