# Installing WP into a subfolder

 * hello everyone,
 * I’m having a problem uploading my WordPress files onto my server. the server 
   provides me with only one folder (html-files) and that’s the folder I must use
   in order to upload my files. the problem is that adding my files into that folder
   changes the name of my website to …/wordpress-2.9.1/wordpress.
 * how do I sort it out?

 * upload just the files inside the wordpress folder you unzipped
    not the entire
   folder

 * that’s what I did. didn’t work either. maybe wordpress doesn’t recognice this‘
   random’ (folder: html-files) directory?
