 * hi a i am quite new in this. i tried the installation process, but it wont work.
   
   my first step was that i upload the word press containn in its folder in to my
   main directory.. then secondly i change CHMOD 666 the weblogs.com.changes.cache
   file. then i point my browser to wp-admin/install-config.php, then in the browser
   it shows “There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. You must CREATE ONE 
   before moving on.. So i press the Create one link on the page.i goes to another
   page which says “The file ‘wp-config.php’ already exists. If you need to reset
   any of the configuration items in this file, please delete it first”. So i deleted
   the wp-config.php file from my directory. so i when back to the page wp-admin/
   install-config.php, then this message appers Sorry, I can’t write to the directory.
   You’ll have to either change the permissions on your WordPress directory or create
   your wp-config.php manually,from there onward i am lost.what will the next step
   be.help will be much appreciated.

    or better make the
   config file urself 😉

    Why ? After you have
   uploaded everything, go here wp-admin/install.php That will do the work. As for
   your config file, you will have a wp-sample-config.php, edit that so it has the
   correct details, then save it as “wp-config.php”. Upload that. That should help…..

 * i have change the index.php file chmod to 777, how do i make the config file,
   is it by just using the wp-config sample file, and editing the db name, db user
   to my own accout.

    Change each detail, and save it as “wp-config.php’ Do this using a plain
   text editor (Notepad is fine)

 * it work now i proceed to the next stage.which says step 1
    Installing WP-Links.
   Checking for tables… Can’t find table ‘wp_linkcategories’, gonna create it… Table‘

   wp_links’ created OK what do i do with the steps above? shall i just click to
   the bottom page which says steps-2?

   for that too.
