 * I have installed WordPress many times, always using the ‘five minute’ installation
   method and never had a problem.
 * My client doesn’t have this option with her host, so I have created a database,
   edited the necessary files and uploaded via ftp.
 * Everything appears to have uploaded fine and the folders appear to have all of
   the relevant files. However, when trying to get into the site the home page just
   shows the ‘public html’ folder and the following message:
    “Apache/2.213 (Unix)
   PHP/5.2.10 mod_ssl/2.2.13 OpenSSL/0.9.7e-pl Server at digitalmarketing.pt Port
   80”
 * Any ideas anyone?
 * Many thanks.
 * Regards.
 * Ian

 * See if the script at [Finding_Server_Info](http://codex.wordpress.org/Finding_Server_Info)
   works. If so then you might need to review where you are putting the WordPress
   files. If public_html is the web-root folder you will typically FTP the WordPress
   files into that folder.
 * See [Installing WordPress](http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress) and
   [Uploading WordPress to a remote host](http://codex.wordpress.org/Uploading_WordPress_to_a_remote_host).

 * Thanks for your reply.
 * I think I know what the issue is now but certainly don’t know how to resolve
   it.
 * There appears to be no root folder in this hosting account (it’s not a hosting
   company I’ve used before). They are based in Portugal and because it’s Good Friday
   there’s NOBODY providing any form of support today.
 * Anyhow, there’s no Public_html root folder or anything else apparent as a root
   folder. I’m totally baffled. Any other ideas anyone?
 * Thanks.

 * Depends on the host. Sometimes public_html is the web-root folder, sometimes
   it htdocs, sometimes it whatever the folder is that the host’s file manager gives
   you access to.
 * If your host offers Fantastico then public_html is likely the web-root folder.
 * If you continue this thread list the host company and the domain your are using.
