    Hello,

I have identified a conflict between Admin Menu Editor and Divi 5 on my staging site.

    Environment:

    • Admin Menu Editor version: 1.15
    • Divi version: 5.0.1
    • WordPress version: 6.9.1
    • Theme: Divi Child
    • Site URL: 5divi.sorayamelter.com

    Bug description:
When Admin Menu Editor is activated and I open any page in the Divi 5 builder, I get the following error in red:

“Failed to load plugin: wpautoresize from url https://5divi.sorayamelter.com/wp-content/themes/Divi/includes/builder-5/visual-builder/assets/tinymce/plugins/wpautoresize/plugin.min.js”

In the browser console, multiple 404 errors appear for TinyMCE plugins that Divi 5 tries to load but cannot find:

    • …/builder-5/vi-builder/assets/tinymce/plugins/wpemoji/plugin.min.js
    • …/builder-5/vi-builder/assets/tinymce/plugins/wplink/plugin.min.js
    • …/builder-5/vi-builder/assets/tinymce/plugins/wpmediaload/plugin.min.js
    • …/builder-5/vi-builder/assets/tinymce/plugins/wptextpattern/plugin.min.js

Root cause identified after systematic testing:

Admin Menu Editor deactivated + all other plugins deactivated → BUG GONE
Only Admin Menu Editor activated + all other plugins deactivated → BUG PRESENT

Admin Menu Editor alone is enough to trigger the bug — no other plugin is needed.

    What I have already tried:

    • Reinstalled WordPress core files → bug still present
    • Cleared Divi builder cache → bug still present
    • Activated Divi Safe Mode → bug disappears
    • Deactivated all plugins one by one → identified Admin Menu Editor as one of the culprits

It seems that Admin Menu Editor loads or interferes with TinyMCE initialization in a way that conflicts with Divi 5’s own TinyMCE implementation.

Could you please investigate this conflict and provide a fix or workaround for Divi 5 compatibility?

Thank you very much for your support.

    Best regards,
    Soraya Melter

  • Hi @herve72,

I sincerely apologize for the massive delay in getting back to you on this. I’m very sorry you were left waiting so long for an answer!

It looks like you might have accidentally posted this in the wrong place! Your detailed bug report specifically mentions a conflict between the Admin Menu Editor plugin and Divi 5, but you have reached out in the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) support forum.

Because our team does not develop or maintain the Admin Menu Editor plugin, we unfortunately cannot investigate or patch this specific TinyMCE initialization conflict. I highly recommend posting this excellent bug report directly to the official Admin Menu Editor support forum or reaching out to Elegant Themes (Divi) support so their respective development teams can properly address it for you.

    Best regards,
    Patroba
