# Intermittent 500 Server Errors when accessing password protected posts

 * Visitors are receiving intermittent 500 Internal server errors when they try 
   to access posts that we have password protected using the WordPress core password
   functionality.
 * It seems that we can clear the error by simply logging into the admin area – 
   may be a coincidence., but could be related.
 * I have searched high and low for a solution but there seems to be little evidence
   of this happening elsewhere.
 * We have taken the usual debugging steps – deactivating plug-ins etc but to no
   avail.
 * Any pointers anyone please? Would really appreciate it.
