 * Hello
 * Tried to install Flare to my WordPress blog (version unknown) and I haven’t been
   able to access the dashboard since.
 * The message I see, instead of my site, is the following .. can you help?
 * “Internal Server Error
 * The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to
   complete your request.
 * Please contact the server administrator, [webmaster@michellesullivan.ca](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/internal-server-error-151/webmaster@michellesullivan.ca?output_format=md)
   and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done
   that may have caused the error.
 * More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
 * Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying
   to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

 * I think the first thing you should do is to remove the plugin manually.. You
   can do so by following these steps:
    1. Login to your server using FTP 2. go
   to `wp-content/plugins/flare` 3. delete the directory `flare`
 * Go back and try to access your website. If that didnt fix it than:
    1. Go back
   to your server using FTP in the root directory of your wordpress installation
   locate the `.htaccess` file 2. Rename it to something like .htaccess-old
 * The first steps will remove the plugin from your wordpress website so wordpress
   will deactivated automatically because of the missing directoy.
 * The second steps will diable the .htaccess so if it is corrupted than you will
   have to generate a new one.
 * If you managed to access your website and need to generate a new .htaccess file,
   just navigate to `Settings -> Permalinks` and hit save
 * Hope this help.
