# Internal Server Error

 * I installed zerif lite on a friends website a few years ago for his restoration
   business. A few days ago he let me know it stopped working. After updating all
   version of wordpress, all plugins, disabling all plugins I got the website working
   again but continue to run into a 500 internal server error when I select on “
   customize” or “background” for the theme. All plugins are disabled, the theme
   is updated to the most current version, WordPress is the most current version,
   the .htaccess file has been renamed to rule out an issue and nothing on the hosting
   side has changed. How can I regain full functionality to the website?

 * 500 Internal error is more of a server issue. Kindly reach out to your hosting
   provider so this can be sorted out.
