# Internal server error, front end

 * I have a multisite installation at [http://bornstorytellers.net](http://bornstorytellers.net)
 * I have a number of subsites at this location. The problem does not affect any
   of the subsites.
 * I updated the network to 4.2.2 from the Network Admin. I believe I may have also
   clicked the ‘update now’ message on the main (root) site.
 * I get an Internal server error – ‘The server encountered an internal error or
   misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request’ only on the front end
   of the main site (see link above). I have complete access to the admin and all
   other sites at the location.
 * I have:
 * 1. disabled all plugins
    2. disabled htaccess 3. changed to 2015 theme
 * None of these actions had any effect.
 * From within the dashboard, I can click on view post or page and I can view all
   posts and pages, so it would appear to apply only to the home page.
 * The debug log doesn’t appear to be producing an error message at the moment.
 * If anyone can shed some light on how to solve this problem, I will appreciate
   it very much.
